Badhotel Renesse and the accompanying b&b Villa Westerduin have been expanded with Villa Noordzee. The attractive villa has ten junior suites and a wellness suite. They all have their own outdoor terrace, but they differ from each other. Some rooms have a fireplace, others a loft bed (for children) or a four-poster bed.Owner Olav Davidse wanted to continue to develop his successful Badhotel in Renesse and Villa Westerduin (B&B) and to increase the Badhotel's traditionally distinctive market profile in relation to well-being and vitality.By thinking integrally from the guest experience, brand strategy, trends and architecture, the idea arose to expand Villa Westerduin with two garden suites and to transform the annex with five family rooms into a new villa concept with eleven villa rooms.Davidse: “I have been the owner for 27 years.By staying up-to-date you extend the expiration date and value of your company and you stay on top of mind with your guests. In 2019 I refined my strategy, positioning and concept together with De Placemakers and made a master places plan to get the most out of my company.”Developers of strategy, concept and architecture are De Placemakers.Michel Kolenbrander, former hotelier and co-owner: ”We use the HospitalityConcepting method in which entrepreneurs come from idea to realization and architecture in five steps (brand identity, target group, value innovation, experience and brand coaching).Davidse: “The Places Makers helped to translate my vision into a distinctive positioning and design of the new villa. They made a concept book as a dot on the five-year horizon and as a foundation for testing sustainable, conceptual and spatial investment decisions. For example, the new positioning of the Badhotel Renesse as a refreshing classic by the sea has become the starting point for an authentic design and an experience that ensures better reviews and a better result.”Architect Reggy Hulsken of De Placemakers: “The new construction of Villa Noordzee is characterized by an asymmetrical entrance facade with a cut-out over 3 floors, iconic wooden elements in the stairwell and spacious wooden balconies that ensure that the hotel and the two villas become one.The application of a wooden herringbone pattern creates a horizontal line that is continued rhythmically, on all sides and at angles. With the addition of large glass fronts on the south side, the connection between inside and outside is strengthened and the view of the garden and the swimming pool is increased.”ESTIDA did the interior.Owner Michel Ruijgrok: “The idea was to bring the Zeeland culture back into the rooms, in an attractive, boutique-like way that matches the fresh classical positioning. We took images of modern Zeeland as a starting point and realized three different types of rooms, each with its own color scheme, such as ocher yellow, silver gray and coral red.We have used many 'real' materials: rough wood and steel, for example. The details top it off: we worked together with an artist from Zeeland who makes panels with oysters and mussels, but not in a traditional way.”Twice a week all hotel updatesWytze van den
