Following the success of its January Crane Sale in Dubai, which featured 30 mobile cranes and saw strong international buyer participation, Ritchie Bros. is running a second crane sale event on Marketplace-E that is now open for bids and will end on June 10.

Due to chip shortages, manufacturing delays and other market conditions, demand for used equipment, including cranes and heavy lifting equipment, continues to be strong. Some of the cranes Ritchie Bros. sold in the January 2022 Crane Sale included a 2007 Liebherr LR1400 400 ton – sold for $500,000, a 2009 Tadano GR700EX 70-ton 4x4x4 – sold for $165,000, and a 2006 Grove GMK5100 100-ton 10x6x8 – sold for $155,000.

In the May-June crane event, there are more than 45 cranes included across the Middle East and Europe. The sale is not a regular Ritchie Bros. unreserved auction, but it’s hosted on Ritchie Bros.’ platform Marketplace-E. This online marketplace offers a reserve price option, multiple ways to buy, and it’s backed by a team of specialists that assist in the transaction between seller and buyer.

There are 25 cranes located in the UAE and Qatar, including multiple all-terrain cranes, rough terrain cranes and a massive 300-ton Liebherr lattice boom crawler crane. Ritchie Bros. encourages potential buyers to view the inventory online and place their sealed bids on items of choice before the 10 June close to avoid missing out on deals. Several cranes in the inventory are located at Ritchie Bros.’s yard, where they can be personally viewed and inspected.

There are currently 25 more mobile cranes for sale in the international event located in Europe. Extensive photos and inspection reports are available for buyers to view online when they cannot visit these locations
